The time of Reckoning proved to be a harsh lesson for the Valley. The loss of status from the actions of the Shadowsfall caused the loss of lands from the Menagerie, Ways and Groves, Forge, Warrens and Darkhome. Over the months since, the mists have slowly retreated revealing now unclaimed borderlands. During this time various missions have been sent out to retrieve any survivors and valuables left behind in what remains. | The Menagerie sector was hardest hit losing 90% of its lands as its borders shrank overnight. This shrinkage was accompanied by thick mists and increased Hordeling activity hindering evacuation and recovery attempts. At the time hundreds of people, mainly common folk were left unaccounted for as well as many possessions. Over the past 6 months the mists have retreated from almost all of the old Menagerie lands with Pathfinders successfully recovering some of what was lost. | There is rumoured to be a great deal of wealth and information lost to the mists in the remains of the old sector. Master Alchemist Railin is particularly interested in recovering books on Alchemy | | Of late there have been reports of other nations and nomads waiting for the final mists to retreat and taking what they can. A whispering wind was received from Wizard Blandon of the Brown School which unexpectedly indicated he was still alive with some others in the area once known as the Botanical Gardens but his message implied that all was not well. No communication has been received since. Pathfinder scouts have reported that some Mists still exist and aggressive hordelings still roam in that area. |
