Much time has passed since the Valley Alliance last visited Shou Lun. Word has come from Shogun Mikawa that trouble is brewing in Chung Po. Mikawa’s scouts report increased military activity along the coast and the Shogun is concerned that an invasion may soon be imminent. Reports also tell of how Zwang Zei's black clad cronies wield increasing power in the Middle Kingdom as Zwang Zei’s influence has gone un-checked for many years.

One of Mikawa’s spies has recently returned from Chung Po, narrowly escaping death as the hands of No.2 Son. He reports of a "Secret Weapon" under development. What could this weapon be? Also having last been seen after being reunited with the Ming Spirit, what has happened to Kenduro Ming?

The Monastery is sponsoring a mission to go deep undercover into Chung Po. Mikawa has asked that his loyal servant Toshiro lead this group. They should enter the kingdom undetected, look for possible allies, and resolve the imbalance between the two blood lines of the Celestial Bureaucracy - the Ming, and the Manchu.
