With regards to the mission that was briefed as below:

A message from Sir Volminor, Lord of the Hospital

It has been noted by several missives, and reports from some adventurers, that there has been an increase in the amount of slavery happening on Orin Rakatha. Over the course of several moons, people from many Nations have disappeared under suspicious circumstances. Investigations have led to a mission to Dai Fah Dyne lands a few moons ago and we believe there to be a nexus of slave trade emanating from there.

During this mission, it was highlighted that the black Djinn that inhabit the dark places of the land had been increasing in strength, and while they are easy for us to deal with using the Good Sphere, that Nation is notoriously poor in that Sphere. We sent Bill Jingle, High Priest of the Hospital to work with Good High Priests from Halmadons Heights to attempt to raise the profile of the Good Sphere and aid in protecting the common people of the Dai Fah Dyne. Unfortunately the result of this was the ambush and kidnapping of the research party by what are believed to be Easterlings not in the employ of the Dai Fah Dyne. Where they have been taken is not proved, but there is suspicion that there may be some link to the existence of a construct called a Soul Well. If it is to be believed, the spirit strength of several hundreds of people is trapped inside this Soul Well, for some nefarious purpose, and is being perverted, or at best, simply being prevented from moving onto the Life Sphere.

The Hospital is sponsoring this mission to retrieve the Orin Rakatha citizens who are being taken as slaves and to attempt to destroy this Soul Well, and free the spirit strength sequestered within.

Here are some brief notes on the above.

We did indeed track many missing people to the Soul Well. It turned out that the Savage Chieftain, one of the Nine, had determined that on Orin Rakatha, people were able to be returned to life a number of times and wished to harness this ability for his own followers. To that end, he sought those strong in the Good and Evil Spheres to power this.

High Priest Bill Jingle was not within the Soul Well and our guide Edvard the Vampyre Hunter (who while not nationed has worked with the Valley on many previous occasions) took us through many realms across the Plane of the Sleepless Dead while we tried to track Bill and those we believed had kidnapped him.

As some followers of Ungoliant appeared to be involvement in this matter, the Grey Man made it clear to our party that should any members of the House of the Weaver be involved in any way, they could be dealt with without issue.

Wayland Waycan, formerly of the LoX, had signed a contract with the Savage Chieftain to send one of the Enchanters to construct a prison comprising multiple demi-planes on Thranduil. We were able to free a number of individuals from Orin Rakatha (from multiple Nations) who had been taken there to be tortured and they were returned to Orin Rakatha via, I believe, Enchanter Mobius, who had lost his connection to the hive mind since Xenos's return and was surprised to learn of the change in leadership.

We defeated the four Lieutenants of the Savage Chieftain who had been sent to deal with us, and then thanks to some local assistance we were able to go up against the Savage Chieftain and his morgul forces with the aim of delaying the Nazgul while we rescued Bill and also another Valley member who had been captured by the Hashi-Shan.

With this objective completed, Edvard returned us back to Orin Rakatha with seconds to spare.

We then sought the components and skills that would cause us to reverse the ritual that had been performed by the four lieutenants to create the Soul Well, in order to un-make it. During this time, the Savage Chieftain projected himself onto Orin Rakatha utilising the pre-existing connection formed via the Soul Well and attacked us in anger. We saw him off and then undertook the ritual. The Soul Well was destroyed and souls within it released.

One notable individual who was key to creating the Soul Well and working with the Savage Chieftain remains at large. He is an Easterling named Bilig. In order to close this situation, it is strongly suggested that he should be located and dealt with.

We understand that our actions against the Savage Chieftain mean that he is unable to return in this way to Orin Rakatha for a number of years, and has thus been weakened greatly.

Thank you for the update.

I have to say I am assuming that the Soul Well is an effect that I thought we had resolved many years ago. When Kamul(The Savage Chieftain) and the Easterlings first appeared on Orin Rakatha they made their home at oasis called the well of souls I believe from memory.

What you describe about using Good and Evil casters to make the ritual originally makes sense. I was on a mission where we were delivered the body of Onyx who had gone missing while on a mission around the Well of Souls. When trying to resurrect him it was very difficult process that required the combination of efforts of myself and Althea if memory serves to call back Onyx's spirit. When he was restored he described how he was drawn to the well and how the close he got his protections were removed from him even my permanent bless that I had cast on him.

I am not sure how accurate my memory is but I have spent quite some time on Thranduil over the years. As I am sure you are aware the remaining 8 Nazgul have a continual power struggle on Thranduil the 2 major protagonists are Kamul and the Witch King. In the past they have used Orin Rakatha as a staging area to build up troops to either attack each other her or on Thranduil. There was a time when it was much easier for them to physically travel from Thranduil to Orin Rakatha this was facilitated by the Messenger.

In order to stop the strife from Thranduil spreading to Orin Rakatha in a major way we worked with some of the Deep wood elves to ambush the Messenger and attempt to destroy him. As you can imagine this was not a small undertaking. Essentially it involved multiple ambushes between Orin Rakatha and Thranduil. We were able eventually to access the Messengers home base and confront and ultimately destroy it. I am dredging memory as to who was on this mission names I certainly remember are: Delta, Sky, Giles,Djim,Harry,Brother John, and maybe Bremor,Onyx, after that my list ends. Perhaps they could give you a better account if needed.

What you say about the inability to resurrect on Thranduil is correct and having access to a way of bringing forces back from death would be a huge advantage to Kamul in he ongoing struggle for dominance.

In the past I spent quite some time in Gondor attempting to establish the White path and try to establish access to the good sphere there for local people. This was a very difficult task and was not very successful.

If you want any more information let me know and ill try and drag it up from my memory.

From your brief notes I would seem you didnt get chance to complete the ritual of life or was that combined with the ritual you did do?

I am glad to see you and your colleagues returned to us safely along with the others you have been able to free.
